Hi Derskine.
Is there any difference between the 1.4 and 1.7?
Cheers Mark.

Yes.....the part number (RJ says: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12517#p153375)
Not sure what the physical difference is.
Can we have a picture of how bent it is? Zero hope for cobbling something together out of bits from the local bike shop?

Re: 1.7 Throttle cable
Basically it's bent and stretched I think, it doesn't return properly and the revs get stuck.
My intention was to indeed use a bike brake cable but it would be less bother to get a cable, if I can't find one though, I will go for that option.
RE 1.4/1.7 I think they're ever so slightly different.

Re: 1.7 Throttle cable
As this officially is still a continental forum I assume you're after a LHD cable
The difference is in the length and the end on both the LHD and RHD versions.

Re: 1.7 Throttle cable
Just to confirm, a 1.4 throttle cable will fit a 1.7 - it's slightly shorter so you need to adjust the pedal stop.
Also the end is different that attached to the linkage on the manifold, I simply put some connector block on the end of the "nipple" on the end of the cable and it works all good.
