Unsure if these are hens teeth parts....
I would like to find a set of boot compartment doors/flaps for the RH and LH side compartments.
Were these an an add on accessory or did they come with a particular model ?

They were an add on accessory called "cavity covers" ... I think I saw some for sale recently in a facebook post.

Thanks Tom, will check that out - was it the 300 Mania FB page ?
The only ones I have seen are NOS items which are outwith my budget, a good used set would be ideal.

Just dug out a 340/360 accessory catalogue I have, interesting read, lots of toys we probably all want!
Found the covers...see below... 'boot recess covers' part number 3212208-7 for the grand sum of £17.22 new...! (1990 brochure?)

Anyway, will keep my eyes peeled...

Never heard of them before. There was a post on here about 15 years ago where someone pointed out a thing on ebay which was like a moulded plastic waterproof container that filled the entire boot. Someone joked that it would be great for window cleaners!

Ah! That possibly sounds like a boot liner ?
Great addition if you could find one.
Part number 40002036-8 retailing at a heady £59.95 back in the day...! I dare say some modern ones might be a close fit.

Yes, that's probably where I saw them! NOS and a lot of money ;-)

There are two different designs of cavity covers, Volvo changed the design very late in the day (1990 IIRC), the pictures you posted are from the last version. My GLT has them.

Here's another pic from the 1990 accessory catalogue:

I think this website has some, he advertised them on Facebook and they're probably in here somewhere:

Thanks guys, interesting they changed the design.
Must be some lying around somewhere unwanted...
The NOS examples from 340 Onderdelen are rather pricey for what they are, although I guess they are probably fairly hard to find.
Like anything, supply and demand dictates the price....

Certainly, the accessory catalogues are worth a look over, lots of cool options back in the day. Must have been a lot of old stock discarded years ago, and probably some still lying around in dusty parts stores, its just finding the stuff thats the problem!

I'd love to have some of these accessories but my boot is so jam-packed, I'd struggle to get everything in!! Maybe for the red one which doesn't do many miles. I do have one of those cassette tape racks stored in the roof and a rusty tow-bar somewhere ;-0 Dog-guard? Well, she gets pride of place on the back-seat. Old dogs would find it a bit hard getting into the boot, anyway. Maybe a dog-ramp ;-? Leccy mirror motors on the '91 1.7 is a real luxury.

The accessories are great to have, but they go wrong it's a big hunt for parts ... Someone broke off one of my electric mirrors on the GLT a few years back (probably while driving past) and I was glad to have a spare LHD one ready in the old parts stash. If it happens again, it's back to manual for me ...

I slowly collect rare parts for my 360 as they come up. Sadly i had to pass on my centre gauge panel and gauges a little while ago. But so far i have:
Centre console cassette tape holder
Electric mirrors
2x pairs of genuine fog light covers
Front foot well speakers
Factory shift light
Full bodykit
2x 5 pce sets of leos w/centre caps
Power steering
3x pairs of C-pillar speakers
And
A WORKING, NOT LEAKING SUNROOF 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Slowly building up a collection. Would love a gander at a parts catalogue to see what else i need to find would be nice though 😁

As soon as time permits I will photograph/scan the brochure I have.
It came with a 340 brochure I got on Ebay last year, unsure the date of it, possibly 1990.
Am sure it covers many of the cool toys or upgrades we all fancy!
Will try and get it done asap as am sure it will get a bit of chat going...
