340 1.4 breaking? Various small parts needed
Hey guys. Is anyone breaking a 340 1.4? I have a shopping list of little parts - even down to nuts and bolts. Does anyone have one they are breaking, or know of one in a local yard I can get you to raid some bits from?
I can get the list ready if anyone thinks they can help.
One 'major' part I might well need is a driver seatbelt for a mk3 3dr. Does anyone have one they could 'lend' me? I'll replace it as soon as I can find one, but I need an unfrayed one for the MOT. Anyone with an 'off the road' 3dr?
cheers
James

Using Snowy's is 'plan A', but I'm not sure if it'll work out. Need to have a 'plan B' ready, just in case. Don't get anything this side of the weekend folks...I'll keep you posted.
Right at the moment, I'm more worried about the little bits and bobs.
cheers

Ok, here's the list...
# Rocker Cover Nut & Washer (2x, so I have a spare)
# Air pan > carb bolts (3 + the long one?)
# Carb breather piping
I could also do with a complete set of manifold studs and nuts, and if you can remove them, a set of exhaust manifold to downpipe studs and nuts.
Told you it was a lot of silly little bits!
cheers

Yup, this is what I went to check out last week! Who'd think a few little nuts and bolt could cause such hassle

I could get some of them if there were any Renault 5 1.4s in the yard! It's so frustrating, as I know there are bound to be at least a couple of pristine 1.4s waiting for me in Derby!

I really need to change that pipe.... it was rotton when I got it
surely if you just hada straight connector, you could remove the t-piece in the breather James, and the world is good again? or even more easy, take the t-piece off the end it is now, and move it to the other end??
