VDO 52mm gauges and senders

Post by Tero Huikko » 30 Nov 2005 05:31 pm

Managed to get a hold on one extra gauge panel (the one in front of the gear stick) Now all I miss are the gauges to fit there...if anyone has extra ones let me know...

Good work on finding a gauge panel! This thread may be of some use http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... -asc-0.htm Ebay tends to be the best place to look IMO.

Which ones do you want? I have most of the options available for the 240 (same as the 300 series ones) apart from oil temperature...all with senders.

Gathered already oil pressure. oil temperature and R-sport turbo boost gauges.

So what's the final price on the rest; volt, ambient&sender and vacuum gauges?

You mean a bit like this one...

Volt meter £15
Ambient Temp with sender £20
Vacuum £15
Shipping £10
= £60 total

Do you need the mounting bracket for the ambient temp gauge? If not, that would help me, as I only have one of those between three gauges, as they generally seem to be installed in one of the 'slot-in' locations in a 240!

Yep...like that one :)

I don't know if I need the mounting bracket. I'm gonna put it into the extra gauge panel and fit the turbo boost into the right top corner to replace the original ambient gauge. haven't decided yet which gauge to fit into second slot on gauge panel. At least now I have four gauges to choose from.

I'm gonna measure the DIN-slot today and maybe I'll fit the gauges there and put my stereo somewhere (not decided yet)

£60 is ok. How should I make the payment? Gotta go past dec15th though (pay day)

If you're putting it down there, you will need the bracket. It's only a thin piece of bent steel, so I can always make some more.

Paypal to my email address (see the bottom of each post!) is best I think. £60 is 87.77 EUR today according to Expedia. I can wait :)

Paypal would need a credit card I suppose. I have a Visa and MC. I try to realise how it works and we shall proceed. Any further conv. on the subject might be wiser to turn to more personal level and not on the forum? tero.huikko@pp.inet.fi or at MSN fourfiftyfiverocket@hotmail.com...

You can hook Paypal up to your bank account, if you like. I suggested Paypal because most people use it, and it's cheap for international transactions. If you'd rather do a direct transfer, we can sort that out too!

(Added to MSN list).

Will speak to you soon :)

Good Afternonn for all volvo 300 fans.

I searching for oil temperature and pressure extra gauges for my 360. If possible, with holder to the central panel.

If anyone would send these gauges, please contact me here or in PM.

Thank you,

Gabor

I have an oil pressure gauge for sale here:
http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... php?t=6966

It's without the sender and the wiring though, if you need advice on those I'm sure you'll find help here :-)

Dear Tom,

Thank you for the tip! I will see this topic tomorrow and post a reply in case of.

Dear Mark,

Yes, I found some extra gauges on ebay, especially for the 240's with the turbo pressure indication gauge. The problem is that these gauges are located in the US, and the price+shipping fee+duty fee is too much!

It was a great friendly match without serious stake ! 8) I hope our futball team will reach the qualification to South Africa... Since Mexico in '86, it would be our first World Championship...
