Scrappies close to here are not good, driver door has severe rust issues and a bucked bit, the electric windows dont work anymore in either door and the passenger side has a bit of wood in the door to hold the glass up!

Just a quick one,
Volvo have seriously dropped the prices of 300 parts as the majority are at the 20 year mark.
My front valance replacement was reduced from £265 to £50, maybe you should give em a call. Genuine part too (5yr guarantee)

Not here...
I was talking with the big responsable for the parts in a very big Volvo garage in Belgium and the answer about the prices was clear: impossible to negociate lower prices, even for old parts. That's a shame cause I've seen the place where all the parts are stored (private visit during one hour cause the guy was happy to hear my story about the building of the Volvo 300 mania community). It's unbelievable all the boxes with Volvo parts for the 300 series, new of course... (& a lot of accessories!!)

The ONLY thing he could do for me was a discount if I bought many parts for the V3M community...

A small scrappy that I use now has a pair of 340 doors for a 3 door car, but they are dark grey and have manual lifters. They are however in very good condition.
Also for you 5 door owners, they have a set of these too, in silver.

I might be going to a scrapyard before the meet to look at a 360, which is also in silver.. I'll have a look if the doors are any good.. although I definitely remember the hatch was red!

They have to be absolutely perfect before I'll even remotely be interested I'm afraid. Mine are ok (good enough to save)....but occasionally you find perfect ones.

Those doors can be found at Simmo's yard, Clifton Avanue, Long Eaton. When I last saw them, they were in very good condition and not the usual rusty crap. John doesn't charge the earth if you're right with him.
I'm due a visit down there very soon so I'll have a look and let you know what state they're in now(you watch, someone will have caved them in!)
