Angle grinder?
Works a treat on a 740

That'd see your front end lower for almost no money, and at the back you could use home made wood or metal lowering blocks with appropriate size bolts from B&Q. Better to do it properly, but it can be done almost for free.

If you use lowering blocks make sure you use bolts of the correct strength. Off the shelf bolts from B&Q won't be as strong.

Haha... the springs on my 940 were cut, a bit soggy still but nice height and it still rode well!

The big boat volvos cope brilliantly with cut springs, there's so much suspension travel that they don't miss the odd 4 inches here and there!

If you are going to cut the front springs try and get some 360 ones. The problem with cutting springs to go low on a 300 is the shocks will keep hitting the bump stops very hard when you go over a bump.

With the rear you could stack a few short lengths of 50mm flat bar and use some long bolts (make sure tehy are marked 8.8)

I personly do not recomend botching like this but it does will get the car lower.

yeah this kind of rubbish will work, but tbh why are you lowering the car? if its for looks then I suppose I can see the point but if you are hoping it will make the car handle any better then definitely don't bother cracking out the grinder just yet.

Hi,

I have two good volvo 360 springs if your interested. £10 and their yours, ideal for cutting like this cause you keep yours spare for if you dont like the ride/feel of lowered springs.
