Desperate for a 3 door 360/340

Post by cheshire190e » 07 Apr 2008 01:08 pm

If anyone has a 3 door 360/340, please let me know.

I will consider any shown, i dont care what the interior is like aslong as the bodywork is ok and it runs.

If its a 340, i would have to get the 1.7.

I have upto around £400 but for the top end i would be looking for a clean looking one that drives well.

Cheers

Matt

Would you consider a 340?

haha no dont worry. Im downgrading from my 190e as it uses just far too much petrol. I want to stick with RWD but go for a much smaller car.

So that leaves me with the 360 as my only option really. I would just prefer the 2ltr engine as i do quite alot of motorway miles and i think i would benefit from the extra bit of grunt.

Hmm well keep an eye out on the 1.7's then in that case, 2.0's really aren't that good on fuel!

Before petrol went up to silly prices, 200m to £20 was easy. Now it's doable f you drive like a granny, but 160-180 much more likely at standard cruising speed.

I expect Chris will be talking about his 1.7 there, the 2.0, injections especially will get around 25-30mpg, with the carb'd 2.0's being better on longer stints.

I know fuel has gone silly. Only a few months ago it was 45p per ltr now I have to pay 48p + The worst I have seen is 60.9 on motorway services

I typically get 25mpg on the motorway from my 360, but I don't hang about. And remember, these cars like high octane fuel.

You're going to be very lucky to get a clean 3 door 360 GLT for £400, and I'm not sure whether they built 3 door 360 GL/GLE's
