I might be able to help...... which side, n/s or o/s, front left as you look at the car from the front?

Out of interest what's happened to yours to require a replacement?

it would be near side
and well i do have another one but the spindle for the wheel bearing is bent and the one that needs replacing is so rusty that the spring seat collapsed due to the pressure of the spring

Ah, not so sure then sadly, as if it had been just the hub without the spring, strut etc. I have a spare here, as I've already removed the springs and top cups from them.

In that case, as another option, try George Mitchell who is in Dunblane, Friends of the Volvo 300, he can supply replacement spring cups, that can be welded onto the strut by a competent person for about £10 from memory. That way you get to keep your brake disc, bearings etc and know that they are a pair side to side and you know the history of them, hopefully having less problems further down the line!

If you still wanted what I have, I have the strut, with what from memory was a good lower spring cup. You'd need to supply your own top cup and spring I think, (best anyway so they are a matching pair on your car, and suit the model correctly).
