help + parts needed

Post by bogbasic » 30 Dec 2004 08:45 pm

Does anyone have an unwanted spare wheel cover for the boot of a 360 that they would be willing to part with for a reasonable price?

Also, under the bonnet there appears to be some sort of mounting missing from the exhaust pipe. There is a strut fixed to the engine that is pointing at the exhaust pipe low down but the thing for connecting it to the exhaust is missing. Whatever it is, does anyone have a spare??

If you already have the carpet....there is no spare wheel cover that I know of!

As for the bracket...I'll have a look tomorrow. Sounds like a block > pipe mounting...maybe an aftermarket downpipe that didn't have the mounting?

cheers

That'll be the strut from the bellhousing to the exhaust - my 360GLS used to leak at the manifold to front pipe join with that strut missing. IIRC they are only a few pennies at a Volvo dealer.

Many thanks. The manual speaks of a spare wheel cover so I am still hoping to get one or make one if I can find a template. Looks like there are supposed to be some straps or clips to hold it in place?? As for the exhaust mouting - many thanks, I will try a volvo spares place.

on a 360 the only thing to hold the spare in place is a nut that attatches the hub to the bottom of the wheel well. no other cover type things

hangon - haven't you got a 340? the wheels went in *completely* different places - 360s were under the floor of the boot where your fuel tank is

Oh but my little secret is a 360 in a lock-up. She is SORN but will be better one day.
