Hello !

After a while taked out from the 360, I can restart my project now...

I'm looking for a bolt-in cage. I'm asking here in Spain and I can get only handmade cages at astronomic prices.

Somebody has a cage lying in the garage ?

Thanks in advance !

Ask Filthy John, he had one and may swap for some English text books or a mountain bike depending on which continent he's off to.

He's travelling around the world ?

John: If you read this from a creepy internet cafe somewhere, please contact me ! If you want to swap the cage for a weekend in the sunny Spain, contact me too !

Best regards !!

I'm still in England, work won't give me a leaving date, or even a definite answer to whether I can go. I'm afraid the cage isn't for sale, it's waiting for a time I can afford to declare it to my insurance company. I'm so up for getting it copied though, i just can't find anywhere that can do such a thing.

Knowing that some people are selling 2nd hand cages there in UK around 150/200 Pounds... A stupidly lot of money !!

Regards !!

To be fair that price is a fair one, i'm pretty sure a new cage from safety devices is around £400....

And the rest... I think Meintag is upset he can't get one of the 150/200 pound ones, and instead is being quoted silly prices for a custom?

More or less. There are no problems for me paying 400 Pounds for a new one from Safety Devices, altough is better if it's a 2nd hand one for half the price.

For me, it make sense to build a 360 in the cheap side. Paying silly prices for custom cages is better with better cars, IMHO.

Regards !

Shipping could be a bit of a killer so perhaps if localy they can be made for £300 - £350 then that is probably quite good. Shipping a cage could quite well cost over £100!

£300 for a cage isa good price. I've got to buy a safety devices cage for my bmw rally car and they cost at least £800!

See 726 quid! What's with that! Shame they weren't as common as a 205, omp do ones £300 quisish if i remember rightly! We found on left over from west wales rally spares for our ae86 and the was £500.
