Need help ASAP Rear Windscreen

Post by turnbullj » 02 Apr 2009 08:43 pm

Hey guys I need help ASAP when i was working on the car tonight i was just putting some masking tape round the chrome bit on the rear windscreen so i could paint it black (im not a fan of chrome) when all of a sudden there was a bang and the rear windscreen had all shattered :( , I dont understand why this happened because there was no pressure at all on the windscreen it had been closed all day even the windows were open so there was no pressure on it at all.

To top it all of ive got my first autotest on sunday so need a rear windscreen like now, or the whole boot lid as that will probably be easier + quicker to fit, would be nice if I could get one in the same colour grey too but think thats pushing my luck a bit.

Im in the north east of england so Newcastle or Edinburgh area would be very handy indeed

needless to say there was a fair bit of swearing and garage doors taking a good hidein a few minutes ago sm2

thanks James

cheers lads, i'll give them a phone tomorrow dinner time

shouldn't be 2 hard to fit a new boot just a few bolts im guessing, dont really want to open mine at the moment lol

if theyve got one i mite just cover mine in duck tape and cardboard + try to swap them over down there probably be easier than putting it in the back of the fezza

That one in gozzy metalz got crushed a while back. Mint 50k miler 1.7 it was. Lord knows how it ended up in there but I took its engine mounts and prop and box and some other stuff.
Turnbull, I have a couple of red tailgates here, how near Nu_Cazzle are you? I'm in Sunderland but don't mind travelling a bit.

im just about 50 miles north of newcastle so sunderland would be ok to get down 2, how much you lookin for them? if i just brought the volvo down could we just swap them over down there cause im pretty sure it wont fit in the fezza, aslong as it dont rain either cause i dont think a duck tape/cardboard rear window would be the best
