I'm after a new n/s wing mirror for my 360 (not sure if there is a difference between that and the 340), preferably in good condition.

I could also do with a new radio as the current one is really on its last legs. I want to keep with the standard fit / period for the car so it doesn’t look too out of place, what do people have?

(Post 1984) mirrors are the same for 340s and 360s, there are electric ones too, but they're quite rare ...

As for the radio, Adam has one for sale here:

i have series 3 mirrors ('84 on) if you need them, i also have earlier series 2 mirrors as well.

That radio looks very retro-tastic! But I'm really looking for something a bit later, I'm used to creature comforts like digital tuning and FM reception

I'll agree with you on the FM reception But digital technology isn't all it's cracked up to be, check this post:

If you're looking for a period radio, keep an eye out for Volvo 700 radios they fit too. But on some, the red "live wire" for 12V is in a different position - on my '88 360 it is in the middle in the top:


... but on some of the V700/900 radios I've bought, it's been on the right and I had to rewire the plug.

I have an 88 radio from a 340, send me a pm if you're interested.

It's good to know that other Volvo models will fit, I'll keep them in mind
I might consider manual tuning, it would fit the period!

That'd be handy Adam as you're just down the road, but mine is an '88 so I'm looking for something around the same age with FM reception.

That's a useful page, I had no idea it was on the site
The one that is in the car atm isn't listed there, it has the same kind of fluorescent display as number 6 though.
I shall keep my eye out on ebay as parts often seem to come up on there and Speedy you have a PM!

Did you get a radio? I have this one, push button FM works ok. No digital ones from the period AFAIK, in my 940 one part of the display has dimmed, and it loses stations when you disconnect the battery..progress?
