Clutch release bearing 1.7
I can source this from Europe for 40Euros but I'd rather not. It's getting so loud now, should have changed it 6k ago
Not desperate but needed quite soon, thanks.

speedy, you can have my used but nothing wrong with it released bearing for a fiver if you want? i only replaced my clutch as someone hadnt tightened it down properly and it had elongated the holes on the pressure plate.

Re: Clutch release bearing 1.7
Thanks dude but I'm probably just gonna go ahead and get a whole clutch kit, £30 is good and I'm sure I'll need a new clutch at some point
Re: Clutch release bearing 1.7
Ok, without going under the car and taking everything apart, I've been offered a supposed '1.7 clutch bearing' from 2 different sources which is a cone shape as opposed to the donut shaped one I was expecting. As far as my knowledge goes (and haynes), the B19 and B200 have the cone shaped one and the B14 and B172 have 1 of 2 donut shaped ones? Am I right?
Re: Clutch release bearing 1.7
To explain myself better, I'm actually looking for one of these 2, aren't I? Not the cone shaped one.

Re: Clutch release bearing 1.7
No if you need a clutch release bearing you need the cone shaped one. However there is a small bearing in the end of the crank and also a larger bearing in the back of the bellhousing. When is the bearing making the noise on or off the clutch in neutral?

Re: Clutch release bearing 1.7
Ahhh I see. It's when the clutch is on, even when in neutral. But a pushed in clutch pedal stops the sound so clutch release bearing I'm guessing is right?

Re: Clutch release bearing 1.7
Nope more likely bellhousing bearing. As Clutch release bearing is in contact with spinning clutch when you press it. Could also be an unbalanced prop.
