im after a cheap 340 or 360, preferbly with a 1.7 engine or maybe one with a renault engine? mecanicaly sound with MOT & tax

body work doesnt have to be in fantastic condition because i intend on giving it a bit of attention and then get it painted up in a bright colour. same with the interior, ill be striping most of it out and working a bit of magic on it

basicly looking for something i can make how i want it then use as my day to day car.

The 1.7 IS a Renault (based) engine, or it was last time I looked

i worded that wrong i meant a newer renault engine like off of a clio or megan, something with a bit more power

and that looks like something i could use but i want something road worthy to start with. i bought a 340 a few years back for £36 in great condition with no MOT or TAX but i sent it to the scrap yard coss it was a 1.4 and AUTO

haha, i did try giving it away. but at the time i just needed the space and no hassle! i wish i had some where to store it.

and the cheaper the better tbh, ive seen a lot of 340's go for a song (like my £36 ebay find) so im hoping to find a good one at the right price.

Indeed, a couple of years ago you would have. You have to get very lucky to manage that now... pretty much anything with any tax and ticket is £300upwards.
