rear hatch struts...

Hi, I'm looking for a pair of rear hatch gas struts to keep the boot open! These will be for a 1990 1.4 340 auto 3 door. Second hand fine as long as they work!

Somebody will have some spare struts knocking around.

Check this post, to be aware that new ones shouldn't cost more than about £40 delivered. Mine had a switch on the RH side to operate the light in the luggage area.

Eurocarparts do them as well.

It's great when the tailgate finally holds itself up again!

The rear hatch also won't stay up if only one strut is gone. I know because I bought two for my 340, replaced just one side and it started working again. But I guess it's better to replace them both.

German Swedish & French used to do them too - not sure if they still do

Hi, thanks - I think I will try one at a time... try to save some money, found one on ebay, new for about 8 quid posted. Thanks guys for info.
