Where to buy parts from..... :)

Post by JazzMan »

Heya, as some of you may or may not know, I just bought the "360 turbo" anyway, so there some bits and pieces I would like to do, for piece of mind.
So first up.....
Headgasket
Cam belt
head studs/bolts?? ( do these need to be replaced if I remove the head? I know on some cars you should do)
Thermostat
Distributor cap
Rotor arm
HT leads.
I really need to find out where to get these parts before I go on holiday.
Its a b200e 2litre 1979.
Ive got some bits ive been looking at, but can someone clariy which is which? Thanks.

Correct?
Thermostats, I dont know if I need the one with or without the seal? Im not near the car so I cant have a look?

Head set, which I presume includes head gasket??

So if someone could try and tell me where they buy there other bits, THEY NEED TO BE ORDERED ONLINE!!!
please dont tell me some shops, I need to order them online before I go on holiday.
So if someone coould clarify if the bits ive linked are correct, and where to get the leads, dizzy and rotor arm online.
THANNNNNNNNNNKS!!!!!! :360:

Original fit HT leads are Bougicord . You can get them here:

http://www.elkparts.com/volvo/

Although the Volvo half of the site seems to be down. Phone them.

Other consumables you can get from Volvo if you have a guy who's knowledgeable about old Volvos. Dai put me onto this guy, John, at Slaters Volvo: 01745 828251 - ask for the parts department and ask to speak to John. He's in Wales but will post stuff out. He can locate stuff which other dealers say is unavailable. He's sorted me out with caps, rotors and other electrical stuff.

German Swedish & French have lots of parts too.

I wouldn't get either - they're too cheap and you get what you pay for. A set of Bougicord leads will cost you 40-50 quid.

I can't honestly remember and Googling gives mixed answers - phone John at Slaters tomorrow and he'll set you right.

By the way - your car is not a 1979 B200E - if it's really that early then you've got a B19E. Maybe you meant 1989?
