nothing fancy to see, it's currently even on it's stock 155/80/13 tires + std uglyass steel rimsgarth wrote:Need some outside photos mate!

tiny update; tying up the loose ends now, only thing not in stock is intercooling pipework + connection hoses. will be custom made after engine + intercooler are fitted. small hope for taring apart the car this weekend, otherwise it will be next week. then building can begin!

Re: Anjo's Project Car
oh yes, maybe this is cool.
what i did to a practically brandnew alternator

selected some parts from it to get powdercoated, as some more parts for the engine. heatshield, dipstick holder, few plates, brackets and even the duvedec wheels. will be getting those parts back 12th of june.
also took off brandnew waterpump again, to give the housing a shot of clear heat resistant coating, and the pully plate a nice black finish

as you can see, the return line from the turbo to the sump is a 2 piece mess, because i made a new return nipple in the turbo, but didn't consider the chassis beam that will be very close to it... so i'm gonna see how the engine will sit and then re-design the return line.
also been busy with the oil cooler and turbo oil feed lines, nipples. was planning on making those from synflex, about the same material als the plastic fuel hoses present in the 300's. at terberg we use that for the diesel fuellines and the air brake system in the lorry's, with special nipples (without o-rings) that allready would've worked. but last week i was building a FM3000 truck and noticed some hoses in allmost the perfect length and looked up what they would cost, turned out to be lucky couse these lines will withstand 230bar (3336psi) pressure, oil pump won't be able to blow these hoses i guess
and they cost about €5 a piece, bargain! allready have the correct nipples so they will just bolt on.

Re: Anjo's Project Car
FINALLY the car is in the shed!

most of the "junk"

and offcourse i got to work straight away:

engine is ready for removal.
this afternoon i picked up the wheels and some other bits from the powdercoater guy.

and the first set of tires that will get ripped into pieces once i get the car rolling:

to-do list for this weekend:
- clean engine bay, remove engine
- strip interior
- remove gearbox + mountings
througout the week: finishing assembly on engine and get it to the shed.

Re: Anjo's Project Car
done more work on car today;
tyres are ready for some hard suffering

still nog engine lift, can't go any further on car with engine in place, will have to wait for it..

in the meanwhile, pre-adjusting the red koni's for the front, and yellow koni's for the rear. will start the build up process after car is clean
sounds like i'll have a day off tomorrow.

did more work on the car
just needs some paint on a few places and build can begin.
engine out, engine bay cleaned first time:

woehoeew it's a humvee!!

i brought that dawm nice looking engine to the shed, people along the road were like
wait till they see me drive it when finished

my mom stopped by and took some very embarassing pics of me removing the front suspension

and after a lot of chemical cleaning and with removed front suspension parts.

i'm gonna paint the subframe tomorrow, and i'll see how far that will get.

Impressive.
Over here a family of 5 could comfortably live in that "shed"
In fact build a platform and live upstairs like Fonzy did.
