Re: Photos
Must be global warming, exceptionally cold here too, but not _that_ cold, they say our summers are slightly snowy, but I guess you got our share
Thx from comments again guys

Interesting how yours is soooo much more vibrant though! Both straight from camera...

But the main reason for going was this...

I've only gone through half the pics so far, so I might bore you with some more later!

Re: Photos
Wow nice pics Chris... think my pic looks totally different because it was evening/threatening rain storms!
Where did you get along to in the end?

Quick post of a photo from my weekend trip to Scotland, would've been better with a tripod but nevermind!

I went up to Cosford in the end, the Vulcan attraction was too much! 400miles round trip
No more pictures tonight, have been out chopping up rusty things, so not had time!

Forum cuts it first, but after page is fully loaded forum resizes pic so it should show up completely, just smaller, clicking it should view full size.
Re: Photos
Ah yes that works now but before it had fully loaded and still cut off... strange!

Re: Photos
Sometimes does that for me too, maybe cache or something like that causes it.
I really need to take proper look of your photos tomorrow, those look very interesting shots you have made.
Somehow I have been stuck staring this one again, I kinda like from that shot, but I also find it lacking something. Maybe better sleep and take a look with fresh eyes tomorrow

Re: Photos
Steve, I can't see anything wrong with right hand side, if you think that it came out too light it really does not matter as viewer is used to see darker sky in middle, lighter at edges and it brings up bridge much better.
Really nice photo, composing panorama is so difficult compared to simple photo as one need to think where to put objects in each frame before taking any of shots.
I'm quite amazed how you can take those pics of planes, my pics from them are always tiny and crap, maybe I should try shoot them to get 'em closer
Steve's Graveyard in Scotland puzzles me, how can one get so good colours and brightess of ground objects and still not overshooting whole sky
Light playes nicely on that photo.
I did saw how one of these got unwrapped right front of my house while I was taking down grass:

Had only pocket cam with me and sun blinded display from it so had to shoot blind.

Re: Photos
This is exactly what I was trying to achieve with this shot... I was hating over exposed skys ruining shots, so for this one I exposed one stop above and below normal exposure and combined the low exposure (correct sky) and normal exposure (for ground) in Photoshop. Would work better with a tripod as there is slight ghosting when you view the image full size in places. Not sure what camera you've got but you can easily do this with the Canon EOS's and probably most other DSLRs!jtbo wrote:Steve's Graveyard in Scotland puzzles me, how can one get so good colours and brightess of ground objects and still not overshooting whole skyLight playes nicely on that photo.
