F7P engine mounts

Post by tommysb »

I'm trying to fit up the engine mounts for the f7p engine swap, and am a bit perplexed by one in particular. The front mount, where the alternator is, doesn't seem to go on, as the alternator mounting is a lot bigger on the f7p engine. I suspect that this problem could be overcome with a cunning use of an angle grinder, but I'm sure there must be an easier way!

Can anyone who's done the conversion advise as to how they've got this engine mount on, or whether I'm just being thick?

I'm planning to, having unbolted it all, it looks as though there's another mount behind the alternator mount, which 2 pulleys are attached to. Should it just be a cast of using the Volvo alternator mounts?

Hehe, worked it out.

They 'pulleys' were for the power steering, and so not needed. They've now been removed. :D
