This is my second 360, as I had a brown 3-door a few years back. I usually drive cheap RWD cars during the winter as I'm still childish enough to play in the snow whenever I can. However, last winter I didn't plan well enough, so I ended up driving my Chrysler Neon all winter. Yuck...
Anyway, I planned ahead this year, and a couple of weeks ago I found a great looking, red 1986 360 GL. It's been living it's entire life on the countryside a couple of hours north of Oslo with only one lady owner. The good thing about that is that it's been driven very gently. The bad part is that she never really broke anything, so nothing has ever been replaced. Seems to be in great condition though!
It's done 176000km since new, and never seen salted roads. Apart from some small patches on the sills, it's more or less rust free. The engine runs really well, with no oil or fluid leaks what so ever. The interior is still mint too!
As for mods, I don't want to change all that much on this car. Even though it's a winter drifter, I still want to take good care of it. All I've done so far is to cut one coil of the front springs, fit a K&N air filter and two Recaro front seats and removed the plastic bushings from the inner tie rods to increase steering lock.
Future plans include 1,5" rear lowering blocks, rear anti roll bar and perhaps a nicer steering wheel. I might also get the sills and lower part of the doors sanded and painted, as that would make the whole car in mint condition!
Here's a picture from a quick photoshoot the other day. The 240 is my brothers car, and equally good. It's got a higher milage, but might be in even better condition than my 360.
