Carb rebuild tips

Post by Speedy88 »

Last time I did this I adjusted on trial and error alone but I'd like to know what you semi-experts would recommend this time I rebuild my carb. All I know is that the float heights should be 33mm from the base, I guessed the rest. I'd like to do it properly and the Haynes has nothing on the 1.7 in the way of adjusting the mixture and idle. On the 1.4 carbs it has the exact number of turns and precise details on how to set the choke but nothing for my engine. Any tips would be a great help, I'd like to do it properly this time! Thankies.
