Finally Rear Disk brake brackets!!! 340 ONLY!!

Right i have my Cad package working fine now. And have finished the drawings and got a quote from a CNC machine shop.
For a pair of brackets to suit 239mm Disks. Its £100 Delivered This is brackets made out of 6061 Aircraft grade aluminium all bolts, spacers etc.
The kit will use Ford Sierra Rear Calipers and standard handbrake cables. Due to the handbrake fitment its 340 ONLY at this moment in time. Kit will also include details of what brake disks to use.
There is a possibilty the price will come down if Enough people are interested.

But which car/source is used for the disc's and pads?

Well pads are obviously Sierra ones and as said disk details supplied in kit.

kk, Have we got to drill the disc's it states 9inthe instructions or are they direct fit?

any particular sierra callipers>? i dunno if theyre different?

I personally went for the smaller ones considering I don't think my front ones are as big. With a hydraulic handbrake kit that works, why would you need massive brakes on the back. On the front aye, but as long as there's some modulation and when you pull the wand she works, then job done.

I'm probably wrong in all of the above because I just watched the rugby, and had a few.

Im interested but want a vented upgrade on the front. Would the 340 standard front disks fit on the back?

sign me up for a large set for my daf 66 as i will be using 340 rear hubs on its beam.

The disks are direct fit on the back however the drum assembly will all need removing and the bearing pressed out to remove the axle. If needs be i can offer this service on an exchange basis.

Front vented upgrade is in the pipeline too.

I might well be interested in a set for the 343...which retains the 340 axle. The 360 is going to need something a little more hardcore I think...

The 360 will prob want the 273mm setup thats going on the grey car.
