Mitsubishi 13c turbocharger – running standard boost 7.5psi
Volvo 940 turbo fuel rail, injectors and FPR
Vauxhall Frontera intercooler (front mounted with bodywork cut for direct airflow)
Megasquirt standalone ECU
Innovate LC-1 wideband lambda
Custom oil feed and return lines
Modified sump – had oil return ally welded into this
Custom exhaust system, 2.5” turbo back with a big Jap back box
CHASSIS
2 coils cut off the front springs
2” rear lowering blocks
Koni adjustable rear dampers
Obviously got GLT rear leafs (slightly lower and stiffer than all the other 340/60 springs)
Increased steering lock/angle
Welded diff – swapped for a lower mileage replacement, changed gearbox and diff oil at the same time
Horizontal hydraulic handbrake
Aftermarket gearknob and reverse lift mechanism removed.
Stock clutch- feels light, but no actual slip.
Locally fabricated rollcage, 4 point half cage with door bars welded to front arches. doesn’t meet any regulations, painted white but currently covered in black duct tape to make it more of a sleeper
8x Volvo alloys painted gloss black, the 5 spoke nice ones X4, and the normal ones X4.
Few spare drifty alloys too.
INTERIOR
Cobra Monaco driver’s seat, Cobra clubman passenger seat
All soundproofing removed and interior painted matt black – carpets have since been put back in to quieten it down a bit as they weight nothing
Window switches relocated to din panel
1ltr fire extinguisher
BODY
Black 3 door GLT – Rare as hell as it is
Original (not a copy) fibreglass body kit – very rare
Riveted on arches
Tinted side repeaters
Original bonnet latch mechanism removed – bonnet pins fitted
Steel rivited on bonnet vents
Hole-sawed front bumper for increased intercooler flow, and looks badass, lol
NO visible rust at all, seems a hell of a strong shell.
1986 D-reg, no T+T, but cant see anything it should fail on, but he dont care, wants it gone.
Drives perfectly, infact I have drove it for about 150miles non stop without it missing a beat.
This did belong jointly to me and Greig for a couple of months (still in Greigs name on V5) while we fabricated a few bits (not included) but recently sold it to a mate.
He has been using it as a daily (5mile round trip a day) for a while, but T+T has ran out now and he works 6-6 so has no time to do anything with it, jus wants it gone.
