what on earths going on in there man?
Tissues for big bogies.
Not crisps, but those wet wipe things for cleaning hands after filthy kebab consumption.
You missed the mobile red house brick.
Tea towel for tea time.
WTF: That's the retro-fitted at some point by the dealer - the divvy flasher. It flashes and beeps like a Fisher Price toy whenever the auto selector button is pressed. Don't exactly know why, but I think it had something to do with old folk crashing into garage walls or something.
What on earth 1) Wheel nut caps (still looking for a couple of them: Volvo (3)286827 if anyone's got two.
What on earth 2) The blanking plate that was left over after the dealer fitted the coffin dodger warning light.
I think I took the Thomson Directory out of the Boat House so I could find a launderette or something for me tea towel

The dials in that pic were fitted from around 83 to 84 - most unique thing about them is the rev counter which goes to 8000 rpmEdcase 300 wrote:Trabi I like your radioI also like the Tachometer and Speedometer in your car-havent seen those before

Re: Shoot from the lip...
Hi all.
My two are pretty much standerd. The mk1 however has a late 1970s MGB Rev counter, volvo 240 volt metre,
volvo 240 ambient temp gauge and a cd player. The engines are both standerd and the ride height is
standerd.I have nothing against lowering a car,its just not for me.I think there is room for both types here.
I just wish the younger lads would keep all the spare parts they strip out and not through them away.
This is just me having two pence worth of rant.
Cheers Mark.

Re: Shoot from the lip...
I think the red flashy light for the vario was standard for the UK, at least. All varios I've seen have them.
I think someone might need to take Tom back to his padded cell. All this talk of 80s Volvo stereos...it's only a matter of time before he injures himself with excitement
cheers

Re: Shoot from the lip...
Ahem, I did actually do 2" lift to rear of my 240, but it was only because of I needed more load carrying capacity, however it does help a bit on our roads too, saves me replacing fuel tank all so often
Tom, I have heard that having many keys with ignition key can cause unneeded strain to ignition lock and lead premature replacement of ignition lock, don't know if it is true, but I keep only 2 keys at keyring just to be sure. Has any other heard from such thing?

Re: Shoot from the lip...
I'm reliably informed they were standard UK fit - post 1985. Early cars seemed to get them bunged on if they went near a dealer - hence the blanking plate lying around the cubby hole. The buzzer is still connected too, which no doubt will send me completely mad one day.foggyjames wrote:I think the red flashy light for the vario was standard for the UK, at least.
