Hey guys, just been rattling to my mate on MSN and said to me "Did you see your old Volvo that was for sale on Pistonheads?" Went on there and had a look, it's sold now, but f*ck me the things absolutely demolished so it seems nowadays! I know it werent perfect in my ownership but I at least tried to look after it....

Sad to see brother.
It got written off by themightybaggins didnt it?
Sure it wasnt toooo long after you sold it.
Big front corner shunt into the barrier?
Then Im sure he said he was knocking it back together.
Looks like a lame incontinent old Labrador now.
Feel sorry for it, but you can see the poor fugger is suffering.............
Mary, fetch me my rifle.

F*cks sake
People wonder why we give people who claim to be "drifters" that turn up here a hard time. No car enthusiast could do that to a car that good. I know I can't talk and with the rallying I do I could write a car off one day, but ffs I look after it all the time it looks after me.

Re: Little Blast From The Past...
My thoughts exactly dude, and i'm sure when I first came on here people had their reservations of me beings as I had originally bought it as a drifting car but regardless of it's uses I still put quite a bit of time and money into the poor thing and tried my very best to look after it aswell as use it. Since then it looks as if it's obviously just been used and abused, run into the groundChris_C wrote:F*cks sake![]()

Wow, just wow! What a shame as sadid drifting takes it's toll on any car but that looks like it's been used by novices or possibly as a crash test car.
At least one good thing has come out of it, if somone paid £450 for that with a possible suspected head gasket that must mean mines worth at least 12 billionty pounds!

Re: Little Blast From The Past...
rear quarter damage suggests a pole prang or someones just booted it. I've been known to beat up old cars but nothing this clean. One day I might regret kicking dents in a mk6 escort... Some people just can't look after things though, people don't have a sense of the value of money

Re: Little Blast From The Past...
Except when it comes to selling thrashed and tired volvos it seems. Still I expect one of the drift kiddies will buy it.people don't have a sense of the value of money
Would it be worth more in parts?
Off topic slightly now...
There was a 360 GLT for sale nearby. It was advertised in the local rag as "Volvo 360GLT, Fuel inj performance, 5 spd, 90% body A$2000" This is Expensive (1000pounds)
I went to have a look at it anyway, No rego (means it would have to be inspected and made roadworthy then taxed/insured), poor tyres, interior was a mess and it had had a front ender at some point, engine ran rough and it had obviously had a very hard life judging by the dented panels. I asked the chap selling it if there was any movement on the price as I was expecting something a little better for the money (bearing in mind you can pick up a good 960 or 850 for that sort of money) He said there wasn't and was firm on the price because "you don't see many around these days" I made my excuses and left..
This thing was worth about 500 dollars tops. I did a bit of research, phoned up the local independent Volvo specialists asking if they knew the car, and turns out this guy had bought off them - for about 1100dollars some time previously to use it for motorsport....
So..... going on that basis, mine is worth at least 3500dollars..
Scene Tax eh

Re: Little Blast From The Past...
I saw that the other day.. I had to check the plate on one of your old pics as I couldn't believe how ratty it had got
Why would anyone want to drive around in a car that looked that rough anyway? Don't get it at all..

Re: Little Blast From The Past...
Hi all.
Its a shame to see a lovely car like that get destroyed.
It was well looked after in its younger days.
Maybe it needs the MAC treatment. He could make a basket case road worthy again.
Cheers Mark.

Re: Little Blast From The Past...
It'd be nice to see this in the hands of a proper V3 Enthusiast again. I'm too far out of the loop, but I'd hope that someone here would venture a few quid on it. if he wants over 400 for it, he'll take 300 - gotta be worth that in parts surely?
