I Have a 1986 ,340 4 Door (B14E), the problem is it want start in morning,
When I remove the Air Filter pour some petrol to carburetor it will start and I have to accelerate for 2 minitues (its bit of shaky for 2 minutes)
Once it stars I have no issue at all, I am worried because it is not cold in Morning
My throttle cable is broken, but it should start without throttle, because its not cold
also i want to what is the original carb in B14E (1986) engine?
By throttle cable i take it you mean the choke or you won't be going anywhere.
I've always been under the impresion that if a choke is fitted it's there for a reason, regardless of if the temperature is hot or cold outside, if it's fitted i'd use it.
Only time i wouldn't use it is if the engine is already warm from a run then it won't be needed. I suggest replacing the choke cable and i'd guess it will start almost without problems.

I need some advice!
Ive got THE EXACT same issue. Had a look at the cable today and it doesn't look worn out or snapped! Accelerator pedal is completely slack.

A 340 1.4 will definitely need choke to start from cold, even on relatively mild mornings. A 'proper' air filter is also a good idea as the 'sporty' ones tend to suck too much air leading to a weak mixture unless the carb has been re-jetted to suit. It may also be a good idea to check that the float level isn't too low.
I need a new throttle cable. The old one has seized. Car wouldn't start because throttle was open. Its now closed as I have disconnected the seized cable.
