Hello mac;

you probably allready know this but just to be sure you can also just connect the yellow and red wire together if the switch gets stuck and the CVT stays in high gear. this will only really be a problem on icy roads as it makes the back a bit less controllable.

but if you incist on getting a new one; try this one:
CVT 20bar pressure switch
CVT 20bar pressure switch
it is a disconnect switch (or whatever the english word for it is), just like the original one and can be adjusted to our 300's factory spec (20bar), it's a bolt on unit.

Thank for that Volvodspec, I'll try to track one down.

As you know the HPBS, the "kickdown" switch and the "low ratio hold switch are all on the same circuit and fulfill the same function (that of loosing the earth on the changeover coil in the tachorelay) to effectivly "force" a downchange (or prevent a change up.) The very early cars '(77') were of course different in that a low pressure switch was used which also operated the brake lamps.

All the best - Mac.
