My 360 is in need of 4 new tyres and while im at it, buying a cheap set of alloys off fleabay seems a good way of getting 4 good tyres.
Problem is, other than 4x100mm PCD what do I need to know about alloy wheel sizes? min/max offset, wheel width, rim diameter etc.
I've found a set on ebay really close to me and at the right price but im currently home for half term and thus no where near my car to see if they fit. (left car at college)
Alloy wheel sizes for volvo 360GLT (URGENT-ish)
Re: Alloy wheel sizes for volvo 360GLT (URGENT-ish)
Quick reply so you have some information to start with: I've got a pait of 6.5jx15 wheels here, with a 45 offset.. The look like they'll need spacing out 5 - 10 mm to fit on the front as they scrape the strut. You'll be wanting something with a low ish offset ideally.. I imagine something in the low to mid 30's will do the trick, and be findable. Or lower even.
I've heard "if you're lowered up to 2 inches then most wheels up to 15 inches / 7j shuold fit" or similar, posted on here... If I were saying it I'd have added "and up to 30something offset unless you can be arsed fuckign about with spacers.
Tyres on 7j15's wouldn't want to be much hugher profiles than the 195/55/15 that are on my 6.5j15's, based on my test fitting experiences...
Might help, might not, and it's all based on trying on one set of alloys. but it's all I know at the moment and might help untill someone better comes along.
Or post up the size and offset info of the wheels you're looking at, and someone will be able to tell you if they'd fit.
