Derrick the Volvo! Update P47
Re: Derrick the Volvo!
Nice one, thanks. Went for rubber high pressure in the end, braided I found ended up being low pressure. Cheaper for the rubber too, good thing I didnt order last night!

Re: Derrick the Volvo!
All right! Heater fan on and working (full blast only, but it'll do!) and the engine bits from Jay arrived too! Got those cleaned up and sprayed, got the fuel line, clips, filters etc and an induction kit ordered too.
And now the waiting begins. Need to fit the shocks too, but lack of spring compressors is hindering the process somewhat!

Re: Derrick the Volvo! (just some pics, p9)
Cool, I'll have to check the schedule at work
Re: Derrick the Volvo! (just some pics, p9)
One damper fitted. Proper nice now, no more oscillation! Just nice smooth damping, on one side.
Finishing friday.
One thing I have noticed, is the front left wheel sticks out more than the right (when straight). Its always pulled to the left slightly, since I had it, however I can see it visually. They are equally spaced, same width wheels, nothing is bent or loose, and at the mo its leaning on a hill (perpendicular to the slope). The only thing I can think of is the perished bushes have shifted the weight to the right of the car, but that'd be minimal surely.
I know the tracking needs to be done too. When the wheels are turned, the left is more turned than the right. What I don't want to find is that I've done something detrimental while fitting the shocks. It was before the shock fitting however that "apparently" the unequal spacing was evident, as my mate pointed it out, I just thought he was making fun, I notice it now though. Wish I had a proper lift so I could stand underneath it!
