Fun with the RR lads

Post by Speedy88 » 04 Apr 2011 12:48 am

One of Retro Rides' best kept secrets is the unit project "Area 52". Now I've been damn lucky enough to be allowed into this place. For those who don't know what it is: Basically some guy's man cave has been opened to members of RR if they want to come down, drink beer and work on cars whilst listening to classic rock. It's literally the most fun I've had ever. Last play weekend I smiled so much my jaw started hurting.

Enough words though. We worked on cars but mostly got drunk and did this:

Have some pics from the recent RR Brean Beach meet:

Still shocked about this. By far the most PERFECT car I've ever seen. Loved the pristine engineered sound from the back, sounded unreal.

Best appreciated when open.

Looks like fun.

The "Lego" car is a replica of a Volkswagon produced model of Polo called the Harliquin, which funnily enough has just been re-released. Well atleast the VW dealership at the end of my road has a brand new Polo outside in those colours.
