Engine Identification

Hi there,
I have a 1397cc Volvo engine fitted to my Renault Caravelle.
I was wondering if anybody could shed some light on where & when the engine started life
I was told it was from Volvo 340.
Any ideas on date of manufacture?
Any info much appreciated.
