Im trying to put a panasonic cd into my car, but I am not being very succesful and im alittle lost.
This is current bit of the loom. In the bottom right is the plug into the old pioneer plug it then leads into the next plug (the big white one) what is it??
but then also two wires bypass it and go into the dash. I thought about buying a Panasonic 16 pin to Din and then crimping it together, I'd rather have proper plugs and leads however.
This is the back of the Panasonic
Any advice please? I have a few more pictures if people need

The big white plug is the 300 loom radio connector.
What wires are you struggling with? Whats the pinout of the panasonic connector?

I havnt looked at the wires yet, I don't want to try cutting it up yet and trying wires. its a 16 pin panasonic. One plan was to to get a 16 pin panasonic to din lead and then crimp the wires to the volvo one, can you get a Din to volvo 300 though?

It looks to me like you have the speaker ground and power ground mixed up.
That could make it go pop.

It's too much of a mess to put in a diagram or describe _ I really tried, it doesn't matter since you're changing the stereo anyway - I thought you were midway to installing, not midway to removing the old wiring.
An ISO adapter Volvo-panasonic will do the trick - Or indeed just a pansonic adapter with wires and splice them in.
Shrink Wrap is your friend

Tried to find a pinout diagram of the 16pin panasonic connector.. you'd think it was privileged information

Have you got the model no of your panasonic CD player? I'll dig out the diagram from the manual if you gimme the number.
Then I'll make you a super simple diagram

- coz I'm nice.
(I've blown up dozens of stereos in the past - I took some time to properly learn, havent had a problem in my last 30 or so installs now

this is harder than I thought... - I'll have it sorted soon (again, pinouts and diagrams for CD players seem to be privileged information)
