Being a card carrying bearded old fart I naturally attend the VOC Essex & Suffolk meets at the
Orwell Crossing , where we are getting quite a collection of rarities these days, a pristine 780,
a frighteningly good PV544, and yesterday ------ see below. I can't resist sharing it.
It really makes me want to strap it onto a foot and go roller skating (he has an estate as well !!!)
back to me front struts - Mac.

Never a manual - CVT only.
(after all it 's a Daf pure and simple - albeit with big bumpers, a mucked about gearshift, Volvo badges,
and a doubled price tag when new)

You can really see how the very, very early 343's/66's were distinctly more Daf then Volvo by looking at that car and a DAf 66. Similar to the 343 with the seats, bumper corners, paint colour, wing and boot badges, side repeaters (must have been an extra then), lots of shiny trim, similar wheel hubs and of course CVT only!
Theses little volvo 66's must be pretty rare now, thats in lovely condition. Always had a soft spot for them!
Really wish I could deal with the driving position I'd love one of these. Might have to look at left drivers again
Agreed, the driving position on the RHD cars is just insane! LHD however, not a problem - this one looks in great condition!
Och, you pair of lightweights. Nowt wrong* with the driving position!
*(I'm no a wee man and have down 400+ miles journeys in a day without needing any surgery / moaning / aches 'n' pains - mind you I can do the same in virtually any car - you just learn how to sit in them )
When me and Steve visited Benny last New Year, we sat in his RHD and LHD ones... it's mad. Someone put a wheel arch where the accel should be, an accelerator where the brake should be, a brake where the clutch should be and finally a transmission tunnel in the only place you could have your left foot!
Either all DAF drivers are secretly left foot braking rally nutters, or have their left leg amputated....
On the other hand, the left hookers seemed reasonable, you can rest your clutch leg on the wheel arch and the pedals were in a sensible place! Really wanted to try out the rally marathon in SuperVarioLand

If by learn to sit in them you mean sit sideways then yes, I agree with you.
If you don't mean that then I agree with Steve and Chris........
