Thanks Steve - I agree! They look much better in black - looks good with the black grille.
Nimminz wrote:Looks good mate, did mine last night / this morning, Does and half make a difference!

Still got to level mine though.

Aye saturday, will be good i reckons!
It really does make a difference mate yeah! Can't wait to see what they look like on yours!

Dad helped me level mine last night - used the Haynes manual and an industrial estate in the dusk... wasn't too hard - took about 40mins :D
Evoman wrote:The car looks great matt! Can we have a meet in the midlands so we can all be there haha
Cheers mate! Yeah a meet in the midlands area sounds good to me! Would attract more cars than a local meet... we shall have to see if we can arrange something at some point.

Matt.

Looks good man, I really hate working in a rush to get a car finished before work. Kinda takes the enjoyment out of it for me (horrible memories of doing the gearbox in the winter rain for 3 days straight)

"Shudders at the mentioning of struggling with a gear box." :( Wasn't in the rain, but I feel your pain.

Yeah Speedy your right it does take the fun out of working on the car.... still sometimes it's the only time to work on the car.

Bad news re: the gearbox!

Yours just about sorted Jon?

Yuup! running wise not yet, have got a box off foggy which he kindly donated. needs an overhall though as the main front bearing has a significant amount of play. It had done 200K miles though. Prop company is sorting stuff out with the prop, and will hopefully pay for a replacement box and the labour to fit it. So it's all going ok at the mo, thanks for asking! :D

Good stuff mate! Glad it is all moving on - must be damn frustrating! At least the company who made your prop are taking responsibility :D

:D Yeah, it's great to be fair. Very professional, so far. They've been good enough to admit a mistake, which you don't get from most companies nowadays.

Here, who's pinched my car! sm56

The box I donated was knackered by a bent clutch output shaft. It was run with the shaft bent for 20-30k miles (before I had it), but didn't get any worse (over 25k miles) once it was fixed. Everything except the bearing(s) should be OK, mind you.

cheers

Alright everyone,

I have some new pictures for you all - I went for a drive on Sunday after spending a couple of hours cleaning the Ovlov, went on a great back road that is around here that I often cycle along, first time driving it though!

I have edited a few of the photos ready for viewing, they are as below:

Just how I like mine!

I know that road, i'm sure. Is it the one from Warden law to Murton and or Seaham?

It can be, it's a right little rally stage in the right car. Not amazing in an N/A derv 106 like!

Will keep an eye out for you. I'm only in Houghton, about 3 miles away from Warden Law. Can't hear the karts on a weekend anymore come to think of it...
