Hating volvos

When I was young I used to hate volvos, but I bought one, and today I've been looking at 740s they were my most hated . Whats happening Anyone else had this?

I've always liked volvos myself, I've had two 940's (saloon and estate), I've had an 850 t5 manual estate. And now I've got the 340.

I do fancy a 240 turbo project one day

I've always liked em, my dad had loads of 700's and i loved them. I wanted a 700 but inurance was high on them so i looked at other volvo's and found 300's.

Recently i've been looking at 700's. Might be because i read through a 760 handbook and watched a video of a V8 700

How can any straight, right thinking gentleman NOT like Volvos? Well, retro Volvos anyway. Im not over fond of the moderns, but Amazons are still worshipped as Gods in several parts of the third world.

new ones are pretty crap like, s40 or early c30's aren't bad but the others ... nahhhh

probably fast, comfotable, economic but you cant beat a retro volvo!

Personally, I'd much rather have the E34 if you can find somewhere else for insurance - it's a much better engine

As for 940's I found mine a bit dull (probably because it didn't break or rust like a 300 ), but it equalled the 360's fuel economy and was much faster, being a Wentworth had a locker diff in it - which was nice

No, they don't have LSD's, they have lockers.

To make them more like Land Rovers than rally cars

Sorry, I don't know to much on diffs. What is the difference?
My mum has a 940 sport with an LSD.

Lockers can cause some very weird effects if you drive them hard... mainly causing understeer on the entry to the corner suddenly snapping to huge oversteer part way through.

They are great if you are stuck in a big muddy puddle though as they will drive out

Im the Same..I hated volvos with a passion but now ive got the bug.

Just a pitty there are no fresh rwd versions
