Went on ebay to carry out a simple task, buy a new rotor arm, but theres a crazy choice and a very varied price range from as high as £20!! to £5. Anyone know if theres a difference. I really struggle see that there is but at that price range.

The dearer one acts as a sort of primitive rev limiter iirc.

Avoid the red limiting one. Bosch are the OE. I have their part numbers for both cap and rotor somewhere...

I bought a rotor arm, but couldn't work out how to get the old one off!!
Apologies for slight hi-jack, but can anyone advise the best method? It looks to me like forcing it could damage other things around it.

Sounds like it ain't been changed for a while,I'd go for the levering off method but am ready to be shot down in flames

if you are worried about breaking something by levering, put a small thin bit of wood or something under the screwdriver to prevent damage to whatever you are levering against.
