Is this the first failure? Especially if not, have you checked the alignment of the two shafts (clutch output and box input)?

No it's not. Pretty sure it'll be my knackered rear engine mount which aswell as having worn rubber we had to chop a section to clear the clutch cable IIRC? Going to get some new gearbox mounts before i fit the prop but it's all fairly irrelevant unless i can actually get another one.
