Still no bids, which does rather surprise me.

Time yet though

Hi Paula I'm really not sure what to expect from it, I've had so many phone calls on it and some pretty silly offers but no ones come out to look yet, just hoping to get what I paid for it really

It's january and theres 5 days left. Nobody will bid until the last 24 hours.

I've sold loads of cars on ebay and this is the way it is if you go down the route of starting with a value close to that of the car.

Cars or toasters. Nobody with any sense will bid until the dying seconds as snip-bidding is king in a fixed duration auction. Anyone who shows their hand early is leaving themselves opening to pointless bidding wars and shilling.

Hi Mac,

I have been trying to buy a lightly used Nikon D300S Digital Camera on Ebay for ages, and the bidding always starts at once.

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikon_D300S

Maybe cameras are different but we are still talking about a £500 to £600 item ... sm25

I think that this is because more people want this camera as against a Volvo 300 series !!! 340pw

Here's a camera that had 27 bids in the USA and this is where I will buy one eventually when I get over there in April for two months as they are cheaper than in 'Rip Off UK' ... :)

Take care

Good Morning,

Yep, that's always the problem when " The tyre kickers" are about.

I really hope that the car goes to a person who is going to treasure her as she is obviously a really nice one.

My ex-partner always used to pull my leg and say when I am dead and gone my mint GTi Metro may well end up racing in the 750 Motor Club Stock Hatch racing series ... http://www.750mc.co.uk/F-stock-hatch.php

I said " No way " and she is going to a motor museum or I will be buried in her ...

If you stick it on for 99p with 10 days ending on a Sunday evening at around 8pm you'll definitely see close to £500, maybe even 600.

There's love out there, just not cash.

Worth bearing in mind December wallet hangover and it being 3rd week of the month.

The problem is there isnt many people around that like the 300 in its original, concourse condition. Most everyone else wants them for drifting, rallying, track spec etc, and that requires all sorts of mods that would just put this car to shame. Its too nice to do anything with. My dad once has a fiat 131 sport, it had 19,000 odd miles on it if i recall correctly, now were not a family for concourse cars, we like to modify. My dad stood outside with the grinder and jigsaw ready to cut off the arches to put the extensions on, funnily enough! Couldnt do it... The car was pristine, like, every button went click click and every knob twist went clonk clonk. We sold it on and recently found it to be stuck in the gezzers garden, now its a sh*theap, rusting away... and he owns an original, mint condition abarth, what a p*llock! :x But anyway it really needs the right owner to buy it, too good to be welded and drifted :D Thomas............

well it'll be back on tonight for £795 with best offer and if it don't sell this time i'm afraid there's only one way it can go......sideways!
it seems the 300 is not quite a classic car yet :(
