I wonder why people start their post on some forums by saying "Hello from sunny Belfast", but maybe it is so rare to have sun that it makes an event

We are having our sunniest time here right now, yesterday 20cm new snow, today hardly any clouds, from october to february almost constant cloud cover.

Got another 340!, an LE MCHUDD had told me about for sale (its not the same LE as on page 10 of this thread). The red 1.7 has been parked up since august in my drive as i got married last year and did not have the funds to put it back on the road, so i got this silver manydoor LE a few weeks back and have been driving it in very standard form (plus a roofrack) to work everyday.










Ive just replaced the home made exhaust i made for the red 340 earlier in this thread, back to a new standard exhaust and middle box, but it will still need some work to make good, seriously thinking about a full colour change as the red is slowly turning pink and the paints just too thin to keep applying t-cut by the gallon, also after all the arctic weather the battery was completely knackered again and i got rid. The red one just got new indicator's aswell.



I think in my head my plan is to drive the LE until i get a year out of it then swap or sell for a set of badass wheels YAY!, or maybe just keep for a neverending supply of spares for the red one, undecided as yet, but i think i may just keep silver one as standard as i can and do like nothing to it.



I had the roof rack in my shed for a while, but i put it on the silver LE cos it just looked so purposeful, just seems to suit it.



so now ive got 2 x 340's yesss!, this is perfect! , maybe i am developing a strange fixation with 300's, or maybe i just love the boxy styling rwd goodness grandad, ....Get ...In...!!!!

No Mark, No stereo, the auld one is banjexed, does'nt bother me too much, i dont really want to spend anything on the silver LE more than i have to, looking forward to working on the red 1.7 a bit more, once it gets above a few degree's and stops rainig long enough to get a chance to.

If i got a cheauffeur i could just sit in the back and play my gee-tar and wave at passer's by and pretend i'm from an 80's rock group, like motley crue

The great thing about this wee LE is it has 5 Speed Gear Box, uncommon for a 1.4 i think, at the dust there



This sunroof is completely brilliant as well and works perfectly and is always dry,



Volvo seats feel like your sittin on big comfy armchair all the time

I saw the mighty Black Sabath back in the early eighties just after Ozzy had left.
Ian Gillan from Deep purple was fronting them. It was strange seeing
Toni Iomi playing Smoke on the water but they were brilliant

Probably best to leave the sun roof alone, one they stick it can be a bugger to fix.

the sun roof is brilliant, i cant stop opening it when i drive anywhere, so i just permanently have it on the open fully selector thingy, and i have to say it is the best 23yo working sunroof ive ever seen!
