Thanks from DriftMoto & Co. for invite 50th Anniversary meet

Post by DriftR » 18 Jun 2012 02:28 pm

Hi all,

I would just like to say on behalf of myself, Nev and family that we had a great time and are very grateful for being personally invited to such a pleasant event :D
To be honest, we didn't know what to expect and as much as we may have come across as a culture shock, you did the same to us to lol but in a good way!
We hope we didn't offend any of the Volvo members and would like to think we came across as professional people and not just some huligans hooning around in a rear wheel drive car as we take our sport very seriously. Me, the racing is what its all about and for Nev it's the design and fabrication and a well built 300 is what really gets us going!! :360: :340:

Next year we intend to enter a 3 car team into The British Drift Championship and you are all more than welcome to come along and support us!

Keep a look out for any further updates on my build thread (SR360 Build Thread) and test days will also be posted on there if anyone fancys a passenger ride!

See ya soon! sm4

It was awesome to see the DriftMoto cars yesterday, it made for a refreshing change and I admire the engineering work gone into the two cars you had on show. Unfortunately I didn't manage get over to have a chat to you guys - but have met Nev in the past (A very cold day in Ludlow with his white 3 door :D).

Look forward to next year to see how you get on in BDC, I'm sure they will do well! Best of luck!

We are just as grateful to you guys for coming, personally I think you guys did a stunning job of showing what can be done when huge effort it put in and I'm glad that everyone who I spoke to was pleased to see your cars and stunned at the workmanship.

I'm epically jealous of some of the fabrication work that's gone into those two cars, the standard was so far above what I was expecting to see, true passion. I'd certainly be up for returning the visit and providing support at future BDC rounds 340pw

Yes indeed!

The workmanship on those cars is second to none and certainly puts the Polestar PCP C30 to shame.

'Twas also hilarious to watch some of the beardies view the cars - the initial reaction was shock, followed by puzzlement, followed by admiration. I was pleasantly surprised as to how well most of them reacted; there was a lot more approval and respect from them than I was expecting and you lot seemed to be quite a popular attraction.

Thanks for coming!

Whilst not mentioning you by name nor a picture, I reckon that VCUK may have mentioned you on the main site ;)
