with the wooden blocks out of the way the whole cage was lowered 2,5" giving enough clearance to weld the top of the cage.
aluminium panels powdercoated:D
mounting tubes for the rear part of the cage
rear X in and the rear part of the cage allmost done, few more pipes to go

Have you thrown away all of the CVT stuff that you removed?

Re: Anjo's Project Car: 1986 340GT Special, B14Turbo
most of it went under my 343 actually
as a 343's CVT box doesn't have the ideal (quieter) weight/springs ratio as the later 340's have i swapped it for the box that was under this car, i did take it all apart first; checking/adjusting the mechanical gearlever, replaced a few seals and put it back together along with new belts/fresh oil and a powdercoated subframe

Re: Anjo's Project Car: 1986 340GT Special, B14Turbo
stainless steel tube i insisted on stainless for the looks, initial and welded finish and the difficulty for getting it done right, stainless is a metal that behaves rather strange when you work with it; everybody that talks about the weight vs chromoly tube should know that all the tube/plates/bolts etc will set me back 35kg on the total weight of the car, that's peanuts
