360 diff's. what do they fit?

Basically as title. what else emerald 360 5 speed diff from 86 fit? any 200's? 340's?

340 and 360 diffes are interchangable. Do a search on the forum further details

They are pretty unique to 300 series, there are no other Volvo's with gearboxes at the back. And no other makes use the M47/45 gearbox.

Hi Ride_on.
I might be wrong {i am quite a lot }, but didn't the 340s get a 240 gear box
in the late 1970s.

They did Mark, but in the 200 the gearbox is sat right way up (it's on it's side in the 300) and bolted behind the engine rather than under the boot.

Aye! what he said lol, the question was about diffs. I guess you might fit a 300 diff to a 200/700/early 900 but I would not call it a car. The axles would come out at 90 degrees to the front wheels, and the wheel base would be rather short.
