Cheers guys!! :D Yeah the vents have always blown cold air, I went to move them once and they imploded (brittle plastic) Found an excuse to get rid of them.

If all goes well and to plan I should have the flanges made up by the end of the week, and trial fit then too. Then it's just balancing. There's been a free (YES, FREE) 3D printer installed at the library which I might put to good use to try the flanges first before I waste time turning them from hardened steel only to find they don't fit. I'm trying to think of the other stuff I can 3D print at the mo too!

I made a plate which I tapped threads into. Welded the plate to the trans tunnel and it bolts in. It was angled towards me but now it sits in line with the normal handbrake (it was hard to engage due to the angle, now works really well).

Theo I'm assuming that was for another thread?

Mark, thanks for the comments! I'm glad mine wasn't on there at the time, otherwise that might have gone too! Live and learn, he's tucked up in a garage overnight now. I'm glad you didn't jump off a cliff, all for a bit of plastic!

Good news Adam! Chris, not sure about printing method, it's not big enough for a louvre though, but Jay has a few spare now!

Progress on the prop has started, with any luck should have the flanges finished by tomorrow evening and fitted friday for a test run!

Went from this (MASSIVE DRILL IS MASSIVE!). . .

To this . . .

To this . . .

That end will be chopped off and once the bolt holes have been drilled, TIG welded on. Then it's just the spline flanges to do. Those shouldn't take too long. The flange test fitted there is as true as can be, I'm so chuffed I got the tolerances right!! I really hope this works.

Also, I am unsure of this . . .

I quite like it, have some spare tint film around and a spare set of glass, so might do it and fit it on the car and see if it looks ok. It'll never be a permanent thing, just a bit of boredom at home with the bits in front of me!! Only a p-shop at the min.
