Quick update

Picked up today, bit late and dark to get any photos. Bumper, bumper mounting trumpets, one headlamp, grill and radiator needed, all of which are waiting already. (would benefit from a new pair of headlamps as other is corroded anyway.

Minor damage to drivers side wing from folding of bumper, rest of the car is undamaged. The rear silencer is a bit unahappy due to forklift. Need to check underside but they are carefull enough when loading.

I'll update when I've had a better look. The choke went a bit odd after starting, it seams very stiff and had to be operated from under the bonnet. Battery flat and terminals not tight, maybe someones disconnected at some point?

Petrol tank still 3/4 full!

I've stopped bringing them home into the garden....that helps!

Also had a bit of a tidy up, the gold 360 bodyshell is now also at the yard and out of the garden so I got away with another....so far.

I'm trying to clear the drive a bit so I can start on the Mk 1 in the spring.

The danger is that at it's current price it could be banger fodder. It's a trailer away non MOT job so I expect it puts off a lot of people from far off due to transport cost. If anyone on here IS seroiusly bidding on it and they are not too far away let me know and I'll deliver it at a very reasonable price, as I now have a car transporter. Please stop me from buying another one!!!

The 'rubbish paint job' is indeed rubbish- but about as good as cans and metalic get!

It's a pretty sound car but the front inner arches have gone and lower front wings too.

Engine clean as a whistle but non runner (battery flat) maybe thats all.

If my Jack (HD junior) was nearer driving age I try and get it for him as its 1.4 and cheaper insurance but I think 9 years to go is a bit early!! And by then he might say I don't want it
