End of summer
End of summer
Night temps below 5C, daytime temps about 15C and nature shows autumn colours:
I guess there is warmer days coming, this weather is about 1 month too early, imo. but so it is living here that sometimes summer is rather short, just when one gets used to that heatwave it does end

Re: End of summer
They did turn red this week, when they turn red it is beginning of slow autumn, other trees will follow later, 1-2 months time. Blueberries are 2-3 weeks early this year.Hell Driver wrote:End of summer?!!

Also I think that those leaves did turn red much later last year, but at least weeks forecast promises some heat for weekend, however nights are cold, will be interesting to see how early autumn really is and if winter is early or late.
Next month can be quite cold or pretty warm, varies quite a bit from year to year. This current month is usually only one when there is no temperatures below freezing at all, it has been really close to freezing temps this year, now there is 8C outside, next night is bit colder. No need for climate control for sure

Hi Jani.
The weather here in Belfast is fantastic for this part of the UK.
Not always this good.
Cheers Mark.

Re: End of summer
Today I spotted first yellow leaves from birch as I went to bicycling.
Weather was bit below +20C, just perfect for little downhill action, wish other direction would go as swiftly! :

Re: End of summer
Yellow leaves have started to fall from trees and also birch trees are clearly starting to turn yellow now, some trees are turning red.
Last night temperature was only +2C, daytime temp around +17C, it is autumn clearly

Re: End of summer
I'm not sure about that, every tree and plant is slowly turning yellow same way like at autumn, even there was rain same thing keeps happening all around, if this keeps happening autumn like effects will turn full autumn colours on in a week or maximum at two, very suspicious.bogbasic wrote:Sir, it looks like a fungus, not winter..... hopefully not another dutch import ;-0
Fungus and alike hit usually one tree, but there is not knowing, if it really is dutch import, it could be almost about anything
Anyway last night it was again +3C, daytime temps around 16-17C, now they did announce at paper that during end of the week weather will change, heat will make room for cold weather. I must been away when they did redefine heat, though, but if it gets colder here things will start to freeze
Now it is around +13C and skies starting to clear. Has been too cold for spraying top coat on few places in car.
Re: End of summer
Today car's temperature meter was no higher than +12C, official measurement was +11C, strong winds randomly sunny and randomly rain, damn it was cold to bicycle into post office, got soaked wet, fingers started to be like at winter not moving too well and hurting, also lot of yellow leaves flying at air, when riding to post office temperature was already bit down from best, around +9-10C.
Calender might claim it being warmest month of whole summer, but I won't believe it, as for me it feels and looks as autumn, only evenings have more light.

Re: End of summer
You're ahead of your time.... they're doing it here too, but then this is claimed (by the tabloids) to be the driest July for 247 years....
...maybe you are having a bit of a drought, too?

Re: End of summer
We have had more rain than average, so should not be too dry. Southern part of our country has been dry.bogbasic wrote:You're ahead of your time.... they're doing it here too, but then this is claimed (by the tabloids) to be the driest July for 247 years....

Also I wonder how one could get drought at swamp?
Has been rainy days again, still cold nights, also very cold daytime temps, yesterday was warm and it was only +14C at hottest.
