I just think it's just oxidised ... It's the corner metal bracket all right.Hell Driver wrote:If you look closely at the front bumper, the silver is not the metal bracket as I first thought but looks like it's coverd with foam!
It was lucky I had a spare battery and tools with me. That sinking feeling when first the radio dies, then the indicators stop working, and finally the engine cuts out ... not nice!S10NPH wrote:Thanks for putting up the story of your car Tom, do you use it as your daily? I like the picture of you trying to fix it under the autobahn!
I had it once on a 480T, at night. Was following a friend as we'd just picked the car up, turned out the speedo was less functional than one might have hoped so was letting him set a legal pace. Started hiccuping as the fuel pump started giving up, so I went to flash my lights to let chap know I was coming off at the exit (300 yrds away). All the car did was put it's pop ups down in a strop so I couldn't see much any more, and inertia rolled us most of the way up the slip road.trabitom99 wrote:That sinking feeling when first the radio dies, then the indicators stop working, and finally the engine cuts out ... not nice!
