Anyone still alive?
I am noticing that there is less and less activity on the forum.
Is there anyone left with a running 300?

Still here, still with a GLT for the summer... although I am supposed to be selling it! Hope you are well!

Re: Anyone still alive?
Hello, still here and the cars are the same as below. I look at this forum about once every week or two. This (from 2016) might partly explain why my grey one went off-scene around 10 or 12 years ago:
Driver banned for 12 months
A DRINK-DRIVER has been banned 12 months and fined £160.
At Bolton Magistrates’ Court Christian Boyce, aged 33, of McDonna Street, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offence while driving a Citroen AX in McDonna Street on October 2 and admitted using threatening behaviour.
He was also ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.
I will take that down if anyone asks.

Hi All,
Still here also, check in every so often as i do prefer a forum based approach compared to the instant gratification of Facebook format. Its a pity things aren't busier here but thats all to do with people using other platforms (of which I am also guilty!) However, a forum always stands the test of time when looking back as a useful resource.
My 360 has been hibernating for the winter but I might tax it this weekend (1st March) and get it back out.
They are still salting the roads up here so if there is a risk of that it can wait another few weeks.
I didn't get many miles done last year due to a sudden family bereavement and my time being diverted elsewhere but hopefully that will change this year. Still have a few jobs outstanding that I will try and get to including changing gearbox oil, looking at all the rubber bushes and their replacement and messing around trying to fit a Hella grille.
On the bushes I had wondered about the poly route but don't think thats for me, prefer the idea of original rubber approach for comfort. Looks like Born Built Beauties would have all these available ?
Keep on motoring.... Dave

Re: Anyone still alive?
Totally agree forum vs facebook format, certainly stands the test of time better for a large, searchable archive...! But unfortunately that's just how things are now!
Wouldn't bother with the poly route imo as they can increase noise/vibration and quite frankly a 35+ year old car is noisy enough! I'd just get some OEM rubber bushes from BBB
Think I'll tax mine this weekend and get some use out of it, as really I should move it on to a new owner this year if it all works out.

Re: Anyone still alive?
Hi Steve,
Will you still have the GLS if you move on the GLT ?
Yeah I think I will stick with rubber bushes to keep things as near original as possible.
I'm sure new rubber will be a vast difference to what's fitted just now !
Weather looking good here for a dry day or two so will definitely be taxing mine tomorrow...!
Cheers Dave

Re: Anyone still alive?
Hi Dave,
I moved the GLS on a couple of years ago - new owner loves it and is in use regularly. So it would leave me 300-less for the first time in about 15 years! But there's potentially other itches I'd like to scratch and I may have less space to store it in future...
Hope you managed to get out in it at the weekend, still a bit of salt around here - but hoping this week!
Cheers,
Steve

Re: Anyone still alive?
Hi Steve,
Thats always good when you hear something like your GLS is being well looked after. Sad to hear you may be leaving the 300 fold, I am sure it is something you might come back round to in the future.
I did indeed get the 360 taxed and the battery charged but things got in the way of proceedings at the weekend so I am hoping for this week...!
Cheers
Dave
