Engine stopped!
Engine stopped!
I was driving along quite nicely, suddenly no engine noise! Managed to cruise to a stop in somebodys drive, starter turned but nothing from the engine, a 1.7, thought I'd be late for an appointment so threw open the bonnet, looked in, no high tension lead
, it had fallen off the distributer! Clicked it back on and the car started first turn. Back at home I reversed the lead as it is held onto the ignition unit very securely, hopefully no problems from now on.
Must be the easiest breakdown fix I've ever had!

I have changed the distributer, carb and fuel pump last week... And I can say that if you are not concentrating enough, you forget very quickly to screw or connect things back...
