GTR The game

Post by jtbo »

I don't know if anyone in here plays this, but I have done few setups that you can get from http://www.janiervast.com/gtr/Dony/

Those are for Donington track and BMW M3Z car, should not be very bad.

Thought that I could share these :)

Ooooooh, I've spent hours playing Geoff Crammond's Formula 1 Grand Prix on an Amiga 500. Frame rates improved a little when I upgraded to an A1200 (14MHz 68020  ), but no hard disk and one floppy drive meant that loading was a bit of a pain sm38

I did try that too, but it was too arcade like, car turned itself when in Test Drive car was not selfguiding ;)

When I look now to back I can tell that those were not simulators at all, even illusion of simulation was very thin

4D sports driving was perhaps one of the best at that time.

GPL at 1998 was very big thing, then we got some realism.

Nowdays I can't play Colin McRae rally, car acts just so wrong that I start to get angry, I'm too much sim fan ;)

Most realistic car movements can be found from Live for Speed, weight transfers etc. are same way as in reallife, it is not perfect, but there it is so close that it's scary :)

Yes, I liked GPL. Still play it now from time to time. Lots of power and skinny little tyres. Yee-ha!

I've got GTR, it's a good game, but too realistic and I keep spinning out :) Have you got GT Legends? The demos good, and I'll probably get it at Christmas...

Not yet, but at friday I will take part to our race team's race, there is 3 GT Legends for those who will get to podium. So I wish that I can get into podium and have GTL :P

rFactor is lot easier than GTR, but still quite challenging at times :)

Here is few pics from one race that I did with my friend, we were all time that close, very much fun :) There is also video from formula car that is in rFactor, speed sure feels there ;)
