Sounds like it needs a new clutch but is otherwise sound. Is the clutch easy for an intrepid but inexperienced DIYer to have a crack at? If it is, this might be the one for me.

looks like a gud un there mate and as it says yoiu have to try to make the clutch slip so???? Its not really the easiest thing to do on you drive but it is possible. if you have the ramps you can drive your car onto to get the front off the ground and get underneith the prop you could do it. Althoughg you need a clutch alignment tool to well align the clutch. A garage may lend you this at a small cost!!
